The Power of Testimonial Videos: Building Trust in the New Zealand Market

The best testimonial videos are not scripted. Pick a customer with a clear before and after, interview them like a conversation, then edit their own words into a short, honest story. That is what makes people believe it.

How to pick the right customer

  • They have a real result they can describe in their own words.
  • They are comfortable talking, even if they are nervous at first.
  • They look like the customers you want more of.
  • You can film them where the work happens, on site, on farm or in the office.

Our interview approach

We send questions ahead so nobody is caught off guard, but we never hand over a script. On the day we ask open questions, let people talk, and ask follow-ups when they say something good. People relax after the first few minutes, and that is usually where the best lines come from.

A project example

For Boehringer Ingelheim we filmed farmers talking about how they run their farms and manage stock. We spent just over two days in Omarama in harsh, dusty, hot conditions, and the farmers did the talking. You can watch it in our Boehringer Ingelheim testimonial project. Other examples include the JCB customer story and our CRV customer testimonials.

Where to use them

Put them on your homepage and service pages, send them in sales emails, and cut short versions for social. A testimonial can be 30 seconds. A longer case study, which walks through the problem, the solution and the result, is covered in case study video production.
