We partnered with Rolling Ball to deliver the New Zealand production for a customer case study featuring AWS and Halter, an innovative New Zealand agritech company transforming the way farmers manage their livestock and pasture.
The project brought together technology, agriculture and real-world innovation, telling the story of how AWS technology supports Halter as it develops and scales its virtual fencing and herd management platform.
Working alongside Rolling Ball, our role was to capture the New Zealand component of the story, bringing Halter's technology to life through authentic interviews and cinematic footage from within the farming environment where its product is being used every day.
The result was a technology case study grounded in the real world, showing not simply what the technology does, but the people, animals and farming operations it ultimately supports.
One of the challenges with technology case studies is taking something that can be highly technical and making it immediately understandable to a wider audience.
With Halter, we had an incredible visual opportunity.
Rather than talking about cloud infrastructure and technology in isolation, we could show its impact in the paddock. Farmers managing livestock, cattle moving across the landscape, Halter collars in use and technology helping farmers make better decisions about their animals and pasture.
Our role was to capture those environments and moments in a way that complemented the wider AWS story while remaining authentic to Halter and New Zealand agriculture.
It allowed the case study to connect the technology operating behind the scenes with a very tangible outcome happening on farms.
For global technology companies such as AWS, customer case studies provide an opportunity to demonstrate how technology is being applied to solve real-world problems.
Rather than simply talking about capability, customer stories show what that technology enables.
Halter is a strong example of this. Its technology combines software, connected hardware and data to help farmers manage livestock and pasture differently, making a potentially complex technology story much easier to understand when audiences can see it operating in a real farming environment.
For B2B and technology brands, these stories can become valuable marketing and sales assets, helping communicate complex solutions through the experiences of the customers actually using them.
For this project, Create X Wonder worked as the New Zealand production team for Rolling Ball, providing the local knowledge, crew and production capability required to capture the Halter story on the ground.
Working with international production companies and global brands requires more than simply providing a camera crew. Footage needs to integrate seamlessly into a wider production, with consistency across cinematography, interviews, audio and overall visual approach.
Our experience producing technology, agricultural and corporate content across New Zealand allows us to support international production partners while also understanding the local environments, people and industries being featured.
The AWS x Halter project brought all of those elements together, combining global technology with one of New Zealand's most exciting agritech stories.
